About

I defended my dissertation - "The Expressiveness of Experience: a structural and phenomenological account of the Russian formalists’ “aesthetic of estrangement” at Charles University in Prague in March 2011 and am now working on a 3-year Post-Doctoral project at the Intitut für Slawistik (Humboldt University Berlin) and the Central-European Institute of Philosophy (Prague).

My current project focuses on the Prague Linguistic Circle and the significance of its theoretical production in the history of structuralism. My interest for the CLP is oriented primarily not towards linguistics but aesthetics and semiotics. One of the main themes of my research is to reassess the links between (Prague) structualism and phenomenology, in order to obtain a historically-situated point of comparison with contemporary cognitive approaches to problems of meaning, perception, embodiment, etc.
